Percepscion’s commitment to our energy future has been extended by inclusion in the Advisory Panel for the Zero Net Energy Town (ZNET) project. ZNET is a pioneering initiative to create Australia’s first town which produces all of its own energy needs from renewable energy.
On 1 Sept the ZNET project released an Invitation to Tender for one or more service providers to develop a Blueprint and Business Case for the creation of a Zero Net Energy Town in Australia based upon a viable prototype in the Northern Inland Region of NSW. The Blueprint and Business Case are being targeted for finalisation in June 2015.
Percepscion’s involvement in the ZNET project comes on the back of participation in the recent Community Energy Congress which ran over two days in Canberra. At the event, which brought together all the key players in the Australian community energy sector for the first time, Percepscion’s Kristian Handberg shared experiences and thoughts with attendees on the topic of “Living with electricity networks”.
